 Draper Diamond Screen

Cinescreen® Rear Projection Screen
A diffusion screen with a transparent substrate of glass or acrylic and with a permanently bonded optical coating.

DiamondScreen™ Rear Projection (shown)
Particularly well suited for use with CRT or low light and low resolution output single lens projector. Fresnel optics provide a very wide horizontal viewing cone.

IRUS Rear Projection Screen
Superior resolution and uniformity with SXGA (1280 x 1024), UXGA (1600 x 1200) and higher projectors.

Vortex Rear Projection Screen
Combines Fresnel and diffusion technology for a brilliant, uniform projected image.

RPX/Complete designed to provide perfect rear screen picture quality, while saving valuable floor space. Includes a framed rear screen attached to the structural uprights. Choice of an IRUS, Vortex, Cinescreen® or DiamondScreen™.

Cinescreen® is Draper's line of diffusion screens. It is a transparent substrate of plate glass(Cineglass®) or clear acrylic (Cineplex®), with a permanently bonded optical coating. Need a Quotation?

  • Cineglass®
Recommended for maximum sound isolation, scratch resistance, and service life.
Flatter than acrylic in large sizes, providing better image resolution
Weighs approximately twice as much as acrylic, breaks more easily, should be installed by a glazier.

  • Cineplex®
    Lightweight, durable and break resistant.
    Easier to install.
Requires more care in cleaning, as acrylic scratches more easily than glass.
This screen is less soundproof than glass.
Not recommended for multiple projector installs.

Diamond Screen™ - the first rear projection screen designed specifically for video and data projection. The DiamondScreen is particularly well suited for use with CRT or low light and low resolution output single lens projectors.

  • Panoramic 180 horizontal viewing cone, and the largest vertical viewing cone of any product of its type. Gain Chart.
  • Unlike conventional rear screens, the DiamondScreen™ is cast (molded) and derives its incredible optical performance from its patented Fresnel/lenticular lens system.
  • Superior center-to-corner brightness ratio.
  • The widest range of sizes - and the largest sizes in the industry.
  • The world's most sophisticated, most efficient rear projection screen.
  • Available in any custom size through a maximum overall size of 120" x 160".
  • Can be used in our Retro/QA (portable rear projection systems), MultiScreen System, RPX/Complete or any of our VideoWalls in conjunction with our Projector Support Structure.
  • Factory installed Cineframes® are also available to simplify installation.
  • Warranted for one year against defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Unbeatable uniformity of the projected image from top to bottom and from center to corner.
  • Excellent color contrast properties and ability to deal with uncontrolled ambient light.
  • Superior vertical and horizontal viewing cone.
  • Unlike Fresnel/lenticular screens, the IRUS does not have a fixed focal length, so there are no focal length incompatibility issues.
  • Gain 1.0  Gain Chart.
  • 180 viewing cone.
  • 1/4" thick acrylic substrate.
  • Single element rear projection screen
  • Sizes through 120" diagonal.
  • Can be used in our Retro/QA (portable rear projection systems),  MultiScreen System,  RPX/Complete or any of our VideoWalls in conjunction with our Projector Support Structure.
  • Factory installed Cineframes® are also available to simplify installation.

The Draper VORTEX is a marriage of the best features of two rear screen technologies - optical & diffusion. A 0.5 mm Fresnel lens gathers the light from the projector and directs it at a right angle through the screen. As the light exits the screen on the audience side, a diffusion medium redistributes the light evenly in all directions—up, down, left, right and center. The Vortex provides superior resolution and color contrast. Need a Quotation?

  • The unique features of the Vortex provide important advantages and benefits.
  • An exceptionally wide viewing cone in both the horizontal and vertical axes.
  • Extraordinary center-to-corner brightness ratio.
  • Uniform brightness without hot spots.
  • Gain 2.0 Gain Chart.
  • The Vortex is designed to be used with single lens projectors.
  • Projected light is collimated, then diffused evenly, making the Vortex well suited for use in videowalls and rooms with tiered seating patterns.
  • Charcoal grey tint provides superior color contrast, even under harsh ambient light.
  • The diffusion medium is in the acrylic, so it can’t be scratched or damaged.
  • The Vortex is available in sizes up to and including 160" diagonal.
  • Can be used in our Retro/QA (portable rear projection systems),  MultiScreen System,  RPX/Complete or any of our VideoWalls in conjunction with our Projector Support Structure.
  • Factory installed Cineframes® are also available to simplify installation.
  • Warranted for one year against defects in materials and workmanship

The Draper
RPX/Complete

RPX_Complete

RPX/Complete has all the features of a RPX. It allows the choice of an IRUS, Vortex, Cinescreen® or DiamondScreen™ in a System 400 frame attached to the RPX/Complete for a perfectly aligned system. Screen sizes through 6' high x 8' wide. Framed screen “floats” in your wall opening. The wall does not bear the weight of the screen, so no finishing or reinforcement of the opening is required. Since the wall’s expansion and contraction properties do not put pressure on the rear screen, the result is a consistently flatter screen. Need a Quotation?
